There is an amazing opportunity in our real estate market to get the home of your dreams at a great price, and at an even better interest rate. I am showing houses everyday to clients who are finding great deals in all areas of NW Ohio. Just today, in a neighborhood where homes are selling for $90,000, we are looking at similar homes in near perfect condition with asking prices of $65,000 and below. And these kind of opportunities are happening everywhere I look.
How long is this going to last? I wasn't selling real estate in the early 80's, but its starting to make sense why I hear all these people that have been selling for the last 30 years talk about how expensive and diffcult it was to complete a transaction back then. 17% plus interest rates with a 20% downpayment.
It seems like a no brainer when you look at the last 30 years of home buying that now is the best time to buy your first home. Even if the interest rates goes down you will still be getting a bargain, historically, on the costs of borrowing money.
Our local real estate market still has yet to stabalize in my opinion, but the opportunity still seems to be there...
