930,437 Defaults, Scheduled Auctions, and Bank Repo's in Third Quarter!

The most recent RealtyTrac report has told us that there was a 4% increase in number of home default notices, scheduled auctions from local Sheriff departments, and actual bank repossessions in the Third quarter of this year.  The total number was 930,437 for the country.  They say that this was a 1% decrease, however, from the same quarter last year.  http://rismedia.com/2010-10-14/foreclosure-activity-increases-4-percent-in-third-quarter-according-to-realtytrac/

Obviously not the kind of news we were looking for, but with the halt of foreclosures by a number of large banks (including Bank of America) many real estate professionals foresee this number going down for the 4th quarter.  With the number of these types of homes staying off the market we should be able to anticipate a increase in sales price in most parts of the country.  We will see what happens!!!

What do you think will happen to home prices over the next 3 months based on this information???
