According to NAR (National Association of REALTORS) the number of existing homes that were sold nationwide went up 10% in the month of September. This number is compared to the previous month, but the number of homes sold was still down from last september. This is largely due to the initial deadline for the first time owners tax credit that was being offer this time last year.
Note: The term, existing homes, refers to all homes and condo's that are not new construction.
